Dr. Bui grew up in Orange County and graduated from the University of California, Irvine with a Bachelor of Science in Biology. He earned his Doctor of Optometry degree from the Southern California College of Optometry where he graduated with Beta Sigma Kappa Honors.

During his clinical education, Dr. Bui completed internships at Cedars-Sinai Vision Center in Beverly Hills, CA and Lawton Indian Hospital in Lawton, OK where he trained with renowned general ophthalmologists and retina specialists. Therefore, he has acquired invaluable experience treating and managing a full spectrum of ocular conditions, including cataract, glaucoma, pterygium, dry eye, diabetic retinopathy, and macular degeneration.

Dr. Bui is Board Certified by the National Board of Examiners in Optometry and holds memberships in the American Optometric Association, California Optometric Association, and Orange County Optometric Society. He has received numerous accolades, including the Orange Coast Optimist Award, Elk National Foundation Most Valuable Student Award, and Vision in Excellence Award.

Dr. Bui is a staff optometrist at UC Irvine Gavin Herbert Eye Institute’s Eye Mobile for Children. He travels to head-start and elementary schools all across Orange County to provide comprehensive eye exams for children who are at risk for developing vision problems.

From his experience working at UC Irvine’s Eye Mobile for Children and with ophthalmologists, Dr. Bui possesses the expertise and knowledge to examine and manage patients ranging from pediatrics to geriatrics.
